F990N-901-01 e-file error
Database Validation Error: /Return/ReturnHeader/TaxPeriodEndDt: If Form 990-N, checkbox "Termination" is not checked, then the Tax Period End Date in the Return Header must match data in the e-file database. (value YYYY-MM-DD, rule F990N-901-01).
The tax year-ending date for the client's EIN doesn't match what the IRS has on file.
Solution
- Go to theGeneral inputfolder.
- Open the990screen.
- Check that the following fields are correct:
- EIN
- Tax year ending, if other than 12/31
- If you made any changes, re-create and retransmit the return.
- If data in both fields are correct but the error persists, contact the IRS e-help desk at 866-255-0654 or file the return on paper.
