R0000-905-01 e-file error

Database Validation Error: /Return/ReturnHeader/OriginatorGrp/EFIN: Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) in the Return Header must be listed in the e-File database and in accepted status. (value xxxxxx, rule R0000-905-01)
note
The value represents the EFIN that is being rejected.
The EFIN used to file the return is not approved to file a 990 return according to the IRS e-file database.

Solution

  1. Open the
    Setup
    menu, then select
    Office Configuration
    .
  2. If your firm is using 1 EFIN,
    1. Select the
      E-filing
      tab.
    2. Check that the
      All returns in this office will file using EFIN
      field is correct.
  3. If your firm is using several EFINs,
    1. Select the
      E-filing
      tab.
    2. Make sure the
      Several EFINS are being used
      field is selected.
    3. Select the
      Preparers
      tab.
    4. Check that the EFIN for the preparer assigned to the return is correct.
  4. Re-create and retransmit the return.
    note
    If you change the EFIN to a number not registered with Thomson Reuters, you may need to submit your e-file summary for approval before you can e-file.
  5. If the EFIN you're using is correct, contact the IRS e-help Desk at 866-255-0654 to verify that you are approved to electronically file 990 returns.
