Suppress the Preparer's EIN or PTIN on forms
The application defaults to printing the Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) in the preparer block of Forms 990, 990-EZ, and 990-PF. You can override this and leave the field in the preparer block blank.
- Go to theOthInfo (990E exempt organization client)screen or theOthInfPF (990PF private foundation client)screen.
- Mark theSuppress: Preparer's EIN or PTIN on forms, if not a 4947(a)(1) trustcheckbox.noteThis has no effect on returns prepared for 4947(a)(1) trusts. The form instructions require that the paid preparer's EIN or PTIN print in the preparer block for such returns.
