For 1040 clients, use the Home Office Information window to enter information for a home or improvements.
This dialog opens when you select Office in home from the Method/Life Wizard while entering an asset for a 1040 client.

Type of home office asset
Select the home office asset type from the dropdown list.
- If you selectHome, the fields in the Business use of a home group box are available.
- If you selectImprovements, the field in the Improvements group box is available.
Improvements
Business use percentage
Use this to enter the business use percentage for calculating current depreciation.
