Use this window to enter vacation home usage to calculate the depreciation percentage for the rental.
To open this window, open the Asset List window for a 1040 rental activity, select Setup, then Activity to open the Activity window, and select Vacation Home Percentage.

This is available only for 1040 rental activities.
Fields and buttons
Number of days home used personally
Enter the number of days the home was used for personal use.
Number of days home rented
Enter the number of days the home was rented.
Total days of property use
This box displays the total number of days the home was used.
Percentage of depreciation allowed for rental
This box displays the percentage used to determine the depreciation for the rental. If desired, enter a new percentage in this box to override the calculated percentage.
