Restore .CSD files using Custom Link on Virtual Office CS
When using UltraTax CS or Fixed Assets CS in Virtual Office CS, you'll need to restore .CSD backup files from within Microsoft Outlook on Virtual Office CS. The
Custom Links
window lets you place a link to your local C: drive on the UltraTax CS or Fixed Assets CS homepage.note
If you're trying to run/restore the backup file locally and a version of the CS application is installed locally, the client file will be restored to the local installation rather than to Virtual Office.
Do the following to restore a .CSD file using Custom Link on Virtual Office CS:
- EnterV:\inLink to: Filein theCustom Linkwindow.
- SelectEnterthenOK.
- SelectHomepagethenCustom Link.
- If your file was saved to your local C: drive, you should be able to go to it and double-click the .CSD file. This will open theRestorewindow.
- SelectRestoreto restore the client backup file.
