Specify the location of scanned data

The Bar Code Scan Utility has been discontinued starting with UltraTax CS 2023.
By default, scanned data is stored in the same folder where UltraTax CS Bar Code Scan is installed. Do the following to specify a different storage location for scanned data.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    File Location
    .
  2. Either enter the path in the field given, or select
    Browse
     and go to the location.
    note
    If you're running UltraTax CS through Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS), you can go to files on your local network.
  3. Select
    OK
    .
    note
    If you choose a location other than the default, you'll also need to specify the path in UltraTax CS. To do so, select
    Setup
    ,
    User Preferences
    , the
    File Locations
     tab, the
    UltraTax CS Bar Code Scan data
     option, then
    Modify Location
    .
