Analyze and print client listing report
UltraTax CS includes reports with detailed information about specific sections of a client's return. Complete these steps to select the clients to include and to generate the report you want.
- SelectUtilities, thenClient Listing Reports.
- Select the report you want to print:
- Select eitherGeneral Client Information,General Return Information,Client Contact,Client Communications,Status Summary,Client Totals,Client Family,Client Status History,User Activity, orClient ELF Summary.
- SelectView Samplenext to each report for the information included in that report.
- After you select the report you want to print, you can select which clients appear in the report in theSelect Clients for Reportwindow.noteYou can sort the client list by selectingClient ID,Name, orEntityin the title bar of the list pane. For example, you can print a report that includes only 1040 clients or a report that lists all clients assigned to a specific preparer, reviewer or staff member. You can also sort the report according to client ID, client name, fiscal year end, or other options.
- Optional:You can select a sort criteria from theSortfield next to the selected report option to organize the report according to a specific characteristic, such as client name, TIN, or entity type. By default, each report is sorted by client ID except for the User Activity Report, which is sorted by user.
- After you select the report you want, selectContinueto open theSelect Clients for Reportwindow.
- In theSelect Clients for Reportwindow, use the fields in theFocusgroup box to include or exclude clients from the list of available clients.
- Choose the clients you want to include in the report in theClients available to printpane, then selectSelect. The clients you choose move to theClients to printpane. To remove a client from theClients to printpane, select it in the pane then selectRemove.
- Do 1 of the following:
- To view the report on the screen, selectPreview.
- To print the report, selectPrint.
- To export the report, selectExport.
- If you have a FileCabinet CS license and you want to send the report to that application, selectTo Cabinet.

Select
Client ID
, Name
, or Entity
in the title bar of the list pane to sort the client listing by that characteristic.
