Choose between detailed and summary asset data entry
UltraTax CS defaults to detailed asset data entry for each client. However, UltraTax CS also includes a summary asset data entry feature, which you can use to enter calculated depreciation information directly. To enable summary asset data entry, follow these steps.
- In theNew ClientorClient Propertieswindows, selectAdvanced Properties.
- Select theEnter Asset Detailstab.
- Clear theEnter asset detail informationcheckbox.
- SelectOKto close theAdvanced Propertieswindow.

To enable detailed asset data entry for a client for whom it isn't available, return to this window, mark the
Enter asset detail information
checkbox, and select OK
.
