Edit an engagement letter

Select
Setup

Choose your entity

tab, then
Letters & Emails
.
Open the engagement letter you want to edit and make your changes.
Select
Document
, then
Save
.
Select
Document

Exit

Select

.

Print an engagement letter with return or organizer

Select
Setup

Choose your entity
, the
Federal
tab, then
Other Return Options
.
Mark the
Print engagement letter
checkbox on either the
General
or the
Client Documents
tab.
Select
OK
twice to close.

Choose your entity
, then the
Organizer
tab.
Mark the
Print engagement letter
checkbox.
Select
OK
.

Print engagement letters using Data Mining

Select
Utilities
, then
Data Mining
.
note
If
Data Mining
isn't available, it hasn't been released for the current year. You can use Data Mining in the previous year of UltraTax CS to print engagement letters.
Select your entity from the
Client database
dropdown, then select
Continue (Step 2)
.
Select
Letters
from the dropdown in the Print selection area.
Select
Engagement Letter
, then
Select

1040 clients will have
Individual Engagement Letter
and
Individual Engagement Letter - Next Year
options.
In the
Search name
field, select
All [entity type] clients
from the list (where [entity type] is what you selected in step 2).
Select
Continue (Step 3)
to begin the search. If you have a large number of clients, the search may take a while.
The
Clients
tab displays a list of the clients for your selected entity. Unmark any clients as necessary.
Mark the checkboxes to select where you want to print or send the engagement letters.
Select
Print
.
