Insert language indicators into client documents

Follow these steps to print text based on your client document language choice.

  • To assign multiple clients a client document language at 1 time, select
    Utilities
    , then
    Reassign Clients
    . Select
    Client document language
    from the
    Category
    dropdown, then either
    English
    or
    Spanish
    from the
    Language
    dropdown. This applies only to 1040 returns.
  • For applications like the 1040 Federal, you can print client documents in Spanish using the Letter tab.
  1. Open the
    Document Editing
    window.
  2. Select the text you want to print only when English or Spanish is selected as the client's document language.
    tip
    Double-click to select a word, click 3 times to select a paragraph, or use CTRL + A to select the entire document.
  3. Select either
    English
    or
    Spanish
    from the Format menu.
  4. Select
    Document
    , then
    Save
    .
  5. Select
    Document
    , then
    Exit
    .
    The selected text will now print only when that language is set as the client document language choice.
