Log status events for multiple clients

Complete the following steps to log status events for multiple UltraTax CS clients simultaneously. You can sort client lists in the
Open Client
,
Select Clients to Print
,
Client Status
, and
Client Listing
windows using logged status events. You can also generate a Client Status Report that will list the logged events for 1 or more selected clients.
  1. Select
    Utilities
    , then
    Client Status
    to open the
    Client Status
    window.
  2. Go to the
    Log Multiple Clients
    tab.
  3. In the
    Clients available to select
    pane, select the clients you want to log status events for, and choose
    Select
    to move the clients to the
    Clients selected
    pane.
  4. From the
    Event
    dropdown, select the event you want to log for the selected clients.
  5. Change the date and/or time using the
    Date
    and/or
    Time
    fields.
  6. Select
    Log Now
    to log the selected event for the selected clients.
  7. Select
    Done
    to close the
    Client Status
    window.
tip
  • Select the
    Client ID
    ,
    Name
    ,
    Entity
    , or the status event clock icon in the title bar of the list to sort the client listing by that characteristic.
  • Use the
    Focus
    group box to limit the clients who appear in the list by entity type, preparer/reviewer/staff, and/or client status.
  • To modify the date and/or time an event was logged for a client, open that client's return, select
    F5
    to open the
    Client Status
    window, select the event in the
    Event History
    list on the
    Log Event
    tab, then select
    Edit
    . Enter the date and/or time in the
    Date
    and/or
    Time
    fields.
  • To remove an event that you previously logged for a client, open that client's return, select
    F5
    to open the
    Client Status
    window, select that event in the
    Event History
    list, then select
    Delete
    .
  • To configure status warnings for specific events, select
    Discourage Access
    (opened from
    Setup
    ,
    Office Configuration
    , then the
    Status
    tab). You can also set these warnings to require the master password or honor security privileges to open the client.
