Share configurable files between firm data locations
If you have office share or branch licensing and you store each firm's data in a separate directory, you can maintain separate configurable items, such as client documents. If you want to share the documents of a firm with another firm, do the following:
- SelectSetup, thenOffice Configuration.
- Open theOffice Setupwindow by selectingSetup.
- SelectTransfer Configurable Files.noteNote that this is only available if there are multiple office profiles in theOffice Setupwindow.
- In theTransfer Configurable Fileswindow, select the location that contains the files you want to share from the dropdown.
- Select the office profile to copy files to in theTo officefield.
- Mark the checkbox to the left of each type of item you want to copy from the list of configurable items.
- SelectTransfer.
You'll receive a message that the transfer is complete when all the files are copied.
