CS Connect: Red exclamation point next to Electronic Filing: Transmit returns

A red exclamation point next to the Electronic Filing: Transmit returns checkbox indicates that one or more clients have been edited since their electronic file was generated. To include the changes in the client's e-file, perform the following steps:
  1. Within CS Connect, access the
    Electronic Filing
     tab.
  2. Select
    Delete
     to open the
    Confirm ELF file deletion
     window.
  3. Select
    Yes
     to delete one or more electronic files for the clients listed. Note that this step doesn't remove client data, it only deletes the e-files for the clients listed.
  4. Next, reopen the client.
  5. Press
    Ctrl + D
     to review ELF Critical Diagnostics, if any exist.
  6. Select
    File
    , then
    Print Returns
     and recreate the electronic file.
    note
    If you're running in a network environment and the time on your workstation is different than the time on your server, this can also cause the red exclamation point. To resolve this, you would need to sync your local clock with the same time as your server. Refer to your IT professional on how to do this.
