Create a report of all clients with education expenses
Use Data Mining to identify clients who have credits and deductions for current year education expenses.
- In UltraTax CS, selectUtilities, thenData Mining.
- Select the database you want to search. For example, select1040 Individualfrom theClient databasedropdown, thenContinue (Step 2).
- In thePrint Selection and Client Searchwindow, select a report, such as the1040 Client Listor1040 Email Address List.
- In theSearch namedropdown, select 1 of the education expense search options, such asEducation expense deduction clientsorEducation expense credit clients.
- SelectContinue (Step 3)to proceed with the search.
- After the search is completed:
- If no clients passed the search, theSearch Resultswindow opens.
- If 1 or more clients passed the search, thePrintwindow opens.
- SelectPreviewto view the report, orPrintto print a paper copy of the report.
