Select and make a search in Data Mining

tip
Data Mining defaults to the database you worked in last. Always check you've selected the correct database before starting Data Mining tasks.
  1. In the
    Data Mining
    window, select the
    Client database
    , then
    Continue (Step 2)
    .
  2. Select reports and/or letters, mailing labels, or an export report from the Print selection group.
    note
After you've searched, you can print reports, send documents to FileCabinet CS, assemble eSignature documents, print or send client letters by email, print mailing labels, or export a report for clients who passed the search.
  3. Choose your search from the
    Product
    and
    Search name
dropdown lists in the Client search/focus group box.
    note
Alternatively, add a new search or modify a user-created search.
  4. Use
    Additional Focus
    to limit the search by
    preparer/reviewer/staff
    ,
    fiscal year end
    , and
    client events
    , then select
    OK
    .
  5. Select
    Continue (Step 3)
    .
If the database has changed since the last time you performed a search, Data Mining updates the database when you select Continue.
  • If clients pass the search, the
    Print
window opens, from where you can review the results, print reports and letters, or send client letters by email to those who passed the search.
  • If no clients pass the search, the
    Search Results
window opens, from where you can determine which criteria or client failed.
