Use data sharing to share the bank name
You can use UltraTax CS data share feature to share the name of the financial institution entered in 1 return with other returns when you complete bank details.
- From the input view, open theGeneralfolder and go to theBankscreen.
- Enter the routing transit number.
- Enter the name of the financial institution.
- SelectFile, thenPreview.noteThis will make the information available to data share with other returns.
- Close the client, then open another client that will use the routing number.
- Go to theBankscreen and select the routing transit number.
If these steps fail to data share the bank name, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Go toSetup,Office Configuration, then theData Sharingtab and check whether theAllow use of the data sharing featurecheckbox is marked.noteIf you mark this checkbox and selectOK, you'll be asked to rebuild data sharing, which may take time. We recommended you do this outside business hours.
- Verify that you've entered the routing transit number in the 1st client.
- Verify that you've entered the name of the financial institution in the 1st client.
- SelectFile, thenPreviewin the 1st client to make the information available to data share.
- Rebuild data by going toHelp,Repair, thenClients. This may take time.
