IRS didn’t process electronic funds withdrawal (EFW) payment
The IRS is responsible for withdrawing an EFW payment. According to the IRS, you should wait 7-10 business days from the date the return was accepted for a payment to be withdrawn.
If the e-file includes EFW information and it’s been more than 10 business days since the return was accepted, contact the IRS to find out why the payment wasn’t withdrawn.
If the e-file doesn’t include EFW information, it means the data entry was missing when you created the e-file. Review the data entry requirements. Check the date you created the e-file compared to the last time anyone opened the return for editing. The return won’t include information that was added after you created the e-file.
