Suppress state and local e-files for all entities on a state-by-state basis

If you entered data in the
File this return electronically
field or
File extension electronically
field in the federal ELF screen, UltraTax CS automatically creates electronic files for state returns attached to the client. To suppress the creation of state and local electronic files for all entities on a state-by-state basis, follow these steps.

You can also suppress the creation of all state and local electronic files for a specific entity, all state and local electronic files for the open return, or certain state electronic files for the open return.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Office Configuration
    .
    note
    Depending on your security configuration, you may need to enter the master password before you can open the Office Configuration window. The master password is specified in
    Setup
    ,
    Security
    .
  2. Select the
    E-Filing
    tab.
  3. Select the
    States
    button currently active in the EFIN (Electronic Filing Identification Number) section.
  4. Clear the checkbox for each state you want to suppress.
  5. Select
    Done
    .
  6. Select
    Done
    again to close the Office Configuration window.
