Troubleshoot unavailable Electronic Filing Status

The green
Electronic Filing Status
button in the UltraTax CS toolbar isn't available. The Electronic Filing Status option is also not available in the Utilities
menu.Cause
The Electronic Filing Status window isn't available when e-filing through a 3rd-party transmitter. If you want to use Thomson Reuters as your e-file transmitter, the option may have been accidentally cleared.
Solution
To verify, select
Setup
, User Preferences
, then the Misc
tab, and mark Use Thomson Reuters as the ELF transmitter
. Because user preferences can vary from computer to computer, make sure to mark this option on all other computers.note
