This error can happen when there's an issue with a system file for the application.
Solution
- If you have anything waiting to be transmitted using CS Connect
, send it now or make note as it will need to be recreated. This includes efiles, eSignatures, web organizers, and tax returns. The steps here will remove anything pending transmission.
noteAnything that has been transmitted already will still be available for retrieval even after renaming. - If UltraTax CS is open, close the application.
- Go toX:\WinCSI\UTYYDatawhere X is the drive UltraTax CS is installed to, and YY is the year of the application with the error.
- Rename the$SysDatafolder.
- Re-open UltraTax CS and check if the error comes back.
- If the error is gone, go back toX:\Wincsi\UTYYDataand open the old renamed $SysData folder.
- Copy theELFSTAT.DATfile.
- Paste it into the new $Sysdata folder.
