Error: Class Crypto PP:: Invalid CypherText: Stream TransformationFilter: invalid PKCS#7block padding found

Solution

If you have anything waiting to be transmitted using CS Connect , send it now or make note as it will need to be recreated. This includes efiles, eSignatures, web organizers, and tax returns. The steps here will remove anything pending transmission.

Anything that has been transmitted already will still be available for retrieval even after renaming.
If UltraTax CS is open, close the application.
Go to
X:\WinCSI\UTYYData
where X is the drive UltraTax CS is installed to, and YY is the year of the application with the error.
Rename the
$SysData
folder.
Re-open UltraTax CS and check if the error comes back.
If the error is gone, go back to
X:\Wincsi\UTYYData
and open the old renamed $SysData folder.
Copy the
ELFSTAT.DAT
file.
Paste it into the new $Sysdata folder.
