Uninstall UltraTax CS and Fixed Assets CS
Follow these steps to remove UltraTax CS and Fixed Assets CS from your computer or network.
note
Uninstalling does not delete client data.
Uninstall
- Open theStartmenu.
- OpenControl Panel.
- SelectPrograms and Features. If you're usingCategory View, selectPrograms, thenPrograms and Features.
- Right-click UltraTax CS or Fixed Assets CS.
- SelectUninstall/Change, the follow the instructions that display.
Remove files
The following files should be automatically deleted as part of the uninstall process:
UltraTax CS
- WinCSI\UTYY (where YY is the year of the application)
- WinCSI\LICENSES\UTYY
- Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\APP PATHS\UTW[YY].exe (where YY is the year of the application)
Fixed Assets CS
- WinCSI\DSW
- WinCSI\LICENSES\DWNAME.DAT
- Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\APP PATHS\DSW.exe
important
The following client and system files are not deleted as part of the uninstall process. If you want to remove client and system files, you can delete these folders manually.
- UltraTax CS client data: WinCSI\UTYYDATA (where YY is the year of the application)
- UltraTax CS system data: WinCSI\UTYYSYS
- Fixed Asset CS depreciation data: WinCSI\DEPRDATA
- Fixed Asset CS system data: WinCSI\DEPRSYS
