Homepage overview
The homepage includes links to frequently used functions and is displayed when the application is opened. You may view the homepage at any time by selecting the homepage button on the toolbar.
Change when the homepage is displayed
By default, the homepage is set to display when the application is first opened. For the Fixed Assets CS and UltraTax CS applications you also have the option to display the homepage when no other screens are available.
To enable this feature, select
Setup
> User Preferences
> select When no other screens are visible

Disabling the homepage for CS Professional Suite applications can be a useful troubleshooting step. The following instructions disable the homepage.
UltraTax CS
Steps to disable for a single user.
- SelectSetup>User Preferences>Home Page.
- ChangeDisplay the Home PagetoNeverand selectOK.
- Close and reopen UltraTax CS.
Steps to disable for all users (globally).
- Close UltraTax CS.
- On your workstation, go to toX:\WinCSI\UTYYSys(where YY is the version of UltraTax CS and X is the drive or network location where UltraTax is installed.)
- Create a new folder or file namedutYYhome.na.
- PressCtrl + Shift + Nto create autYYhome.na folder.
- Name the new folderutYYhome.na(where YY is equal to the last 2 digits of the year of UltraTax.)
- To create a utYYhome.nafilecomplete the following:
- Right-click theutYYhome.con file(where YY is the version of UltraTax CS.)
- SelectRenameand replace the.conin the file name with.na.
- SelectEnter.
- When you receive a message that the file might become unusable, selectYesto verify the change.
- Note:If you do not see a utYYhome.con file, you may have file extensions hidden. To check, open Windows Explorer and selectView > Options > View tab. If marked, clear theHide extensions for known file typescheckbox.
- OpenUltraTax CSand verify that the homepage doesn’t load.
FileCabinet CS
- Close FileCabinet CS.
- Go to toX:\WinCSI\FcabSys(where X is the drive or network location where FileCabinet CS is installed.
- Create a new folder or file calledfcYYhome.na.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + N, to create a fcYYhome.nafolder. Name the new folder fcYYhome.na where YY is equal to the version of FileCabinet CS.
- To create a fcYYhome.na file complete the following:
- Right-click the fcYYhome.con file, where YY is the version of FileCabinet CS.
- SelectRenameand replace the.conin the file name with.na.
- PressEnterto save your changes.
- When you receive a message that the file might become unusable, selectYesto verify the change.noteIf you don’t see a fcYYhome.con file, you may have file extensions hidden. To check, open Windows Explorer and select View > Options > View tab. If marked, clear the Hide extensions for known file types checkbox.
