Set up integration with SafeSend
- In UltraTax CS:
- SelectSetup, thenSystem Configuration.
- On theSurePrep & SafeSend Integrationstab, selectEnable SafeSend Integration.
- The following options are also available:
- When printing the return, automatically deliver client copy to SafeSend: If you select this, the return will automatically deliver to SafeSend when you selectAssembleorPrint. If you don't select this option, you'll continue to use CS Connect to deliver the returns to SafeSend.
- SelectOK.
After you've enabled integration, you can send returns to SafeSend and create organizers specifically configured for upload to SafeSend.
If SafeSend is the primary method for delivering a client's tax returns, we recommend you go to
Setup
, then Client Communications
to change your Return Delivery method
and/or Organizer Delivery method
to SafeSend
. This will let you send multiple returns/organizers at a time.To update several clients' delivery method to SafeSend, select
Utilities
, then Reassign Clients
. You can then apply filters and select several clients to update. In the Reassign to
section, select Return delivery or Organizer delivery
and SafeSend
. Disconnect SafeSend Integration:
Follow these steps to disconnect the integration between UltraTax and SafeSend.
- Clear theEnable SafeSend Integrationcheckbox.
- Once disconnected, the option toPrint client copy of the return to SafeSendis removed.

You can re-connect the SafeSend integration at any time by marking the checkbox again.
