Set up integration with SafeSend

SafeSend integration is available for 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 990 returns.
  1. In SafeSend:
  2. Go to
    Product Settings
    , then
    General
    .
  3. Select
    UltraTax CS
    , then
    Apply
    .

  4. In UltraTax CS:
  5. Go to
    Setup
    , then
    System Configuration
    .
  6. On the
    SurePrep & SafeSend Integrations
    tab, select
    Enable SafeSend Integration
    .
  7. You can also enable the following:
    • When printing the return, automatically deliver client copy to SafeSend
      : If you select this, the return will automatically deliver to SafeSend when you select
      Assemble
      or
      Print
      . If you don't select this option, you'll continue to use CS Connect to deliver the returns to SafeSend.
  8. Select
    OK
    .
After you've enabled integration, you can send returns to SafeSend and create organizers specifically configured for upload to SafeSend.
If SafeSend is the primary method for delivering a client's tax returns, we recommend you go to
Setup
, then
Client Communications
to change your
Return Delivery method
and/or
Organizer Delivery method
to
SafeSend
. This will let you send multiple returns/organizers at a time.
To update several clients' delivery method to SafeSend, select
Utilities
, then
Reassign Clients
. You can then apply filters and select several clients to update. In the Reassign to section, select
Return delivery or Organizer delivery
and
SafeSend
.
Disconnect SafeSend Integration
Follow these steps to disconnect the integration between UltraTax and SafeSend.
  1. Uncheck the
    Enable SafeSend Integration
    checkbox.
  2. Once disconnected, the option to
    Print client copy of the return to SafeSend
    is removed.
note
You can re-connect the SafeSend integration at any time by checking the checkbox again.
