Firm ID dropdown is empty

Verify your UltraTax CS sign in email is the same email associated with SurePrep to ensure a successful integration with SurePrep.
The
Firm ID
dropdown in UltraTax CS shows no entries, and you're unable to select your firm.

Cause

This typically occurs when the email address used to sign in to UltraTax CS is not linked to a user account in SurePrep.

Solution

  1. Make sure the exact email address you use to sign in to UltraTax CS. This email address needs to match the one used in SurePrep.
  2. Sign in to SurePrep Admin and go to the
    Users
    section.
  3. Search for your UltraTax CS email address.
  4. If your email address is not in SurePrep, then contact your firm's admin, and request they add it. Use the same email address you use for UltraTax CS. They should also assign the correct role, typically
    Firm Admin
    or
    Integration Access
    , depending on your firm's requirements.
  5. If your email Is in SurePrep but inactive or linked to the wrong firm, make sure your account is linked to the correct firm or domain. When it is, then your firm will appear in the
    Firm ID
    dropdown when setting up the integration.
