Set up integration with SurePrep

To enable SurePrep integration in UltraTax CS 2025, go to
Setup
System Configuration
 and map your SurePrep firm ID.
The steps to set up integration with SurePrep and UltraTax CS are different depending on the year of UltraTax CS. These steps are for tax year
2025
 and are the same for locally installed or Virtual Office (SaaS) versions.
important
You'll need to complete these steps in UltraTax CS 2025 even if you've enabled SurePrep integration in prior years.
  1. In UltraTax CS, go to
    Setup
    , then
    System Configuration
    .
  2. On the
    SurePrep & SafeSend Integrations
     tab, choose
    Select Firm ID
    .
  3. Select the SurePrep firm to connect to.
  4. Select
    Test
    , then
    OK
    .
  5. Confirm:
    1. The connection
      Status
       shows
      Connected
      ,
    2. The SurePrep
      Firm ID
       is correct, and
    3. The
      Enable SurePrep Integration
       checkbox is selected.
  6. Select
    OK
     to save your changes.

Disconnect UltraTax CS from SurePrep

  1. Select
    Disconnect SurePrep
    .
  2. A confirmation screen will appear, asking you to verify the disconnection.
  3. Select
    Disconnect
     to proceed.
After you disconnect
  • UltraTax CS will no longer be integrated with SurePrep for the selected firm.
  • All pending binder processing for all clients will be discontinued.
  • The system will make sure that the disconnection is complete and display the updated status for your firm.
