Attach text to a form

Sometimes you may want to add extra text to a form, such as notes about the IRS rules used for a decision or calculation.
To attach text, you'll need to be in
Forms
view or in the
Non Calculating
folder.
  1. Go to the form you'd like to attach text to.
  2. Select the
    Edit
    menu, then
    Attached Text
  3. Select
    Attached Text Library
    . Alternatively, if you have text already saved, select it from the list.
  4. To create new text, select
    Add
    and enter your text in the space provided. If you want, you can change the font, size, and style. You can't change the color.
  5. Select
    Attach
    .
  6. Use your mouse to place the red text in the correct spot on the form, then click to place it.
    note
    • To move the text after you have attached it, select it and drag it to the desired location.
    • To edit the attached text later, double-click the text.
    • To delete the attached text, double-click the text then select
      Delete
      .
    • Attached text always appears in red on the screen.
    • Attached text is not included in the electronic file.
