UltraTax CS: Browse OfficeDocs folder in Virtual Office CS via a custom link on the Home Page
On Virtual Office CS and SaaS you do not have the ability to access Windows Explorer. This means that in order to open PDF files you've stored in your OfficeDocs folder you must first embed them into FileCabinet CS or attach them to an email. Another alternative is to add a Custom Link to your OfficeDocs folder on your UltraTax CS homepage. This will allow you to easily browse your OfficeDocs folder and launch PDFs, Word, and Excel documents.
- Go toSetup, then selectUser Preferences.
- On the Home Page tab, select theCustom Linksbutton.
- Add a description, likeOfficeDocs, selectFile(instead of Web URL) and typeY:\OfficeDocsand selectOK.
- On the UltraTax CS homepage, you can select theOfficeDocslink in theCustom Linkssection and it will open.
