Date in service vs. Date acquired for PPT return assets
Assets reported on Personal Property Tax (PPT) returns use the Date acquired field to determine the age.
PPT returns don't use the
Date in Service
for assets you enter in the Asset module when determining the age. Instead, PPT returns use the Date acquired
field. This is located in the Other
tab of the Asset module.When you first enter an asset, the
Date in Service
will transfer to the Date acquired
field, but any subsequent changes won't transfer. Related Content
