Transfer assets to the California PPT return

Follow these steps to transfer federal assets to the California Personal Property Tax (PPT) return.
  1. Select the
    Asset
    tab in the federal activity.
  2. Highlight the asset and select
    Modify
    .
  3. On the
    Depreciation
    tab, make sure the Book column has data.
    If you don't see the Book column, select
    Setup
    ,
    Treatments
    , then
    Book
    .
  4. If you don't want to use a book treatment, mark the
    Complete return using the CA treatment within the asset module
    field in the CA PPT Gen screen. Enter data in the CA column.
  5. Make sure the
    Situs
    association is California.
  6. Make sure
    Location
    ,
    County-CA
    and
    PPT type-CA
    all have data.
    These fields are usually in the Asset window or the
    Other
    tab. If you don't see them, go to
    Setup
    , then
    Associations
    and mark these fields.
