Transfer assets to the Kentucky PPT return
Follow these steps to transfer federal assets to the Kentucky Personal Property Tax (PPT) return.
- Select theAssettab in the federal activity.
- Select the asset, thenModify.
- Select theDepreciationtab. Make sure theBookcolumn has data.If you don't see the Book column, selectSetup,Treatments, thenBook.
- If you don't want to use a book treatment, mark theComplete return using the KY treatment within the asset modulefield in the KY PPT Gen screen. Enter data in the KY column.
- Make sure theSitusassociation is Kentucky.
- Make sureLocation,County-KYandPPT type-KYhave data.These fields are usually in the Asset window or theOthertab. If you don't see them, selectSetup, thenAssociationsand make sure these fields are marked.
