File Location dialog

The Bar Code Scan Utility has been discontinued starting with UltraTax CS 2023.
By default, scanned data will be stored in the same folder where the UltraTax CS Bar Code Scan utility is installed. Use this dialog to specify a different storage location for scanned bar code data.
note
If you specify a location other than the default, you also need to specify the path in UltraTax CS. To do so, choose Setup then User Preferences, select the File Locations tab, select the
UltraTax CS Barcode Scan
 option, and then select the Modify Location button.
To open this dialog, choose Setup then File Location from the UltraTax CS Bar Code Scan dialog.

Fields & buttons

File location
Use this field to enter the desired path where you want to store scanned bar code data.
note
If you specify a location other than the default, you also need to specify the path in UltraTax CS. To do so, choose Setup then User Preferences, select the File Locations tab, select the
UltraTax CS Barcode Scan
 option, and then select the Modify Location button.
Browse button
Select this button to navigate to the desired location where you want to store scanned bar code data.

  • If you are running UltraTax CS through Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS), you can navigate to files on your local network.
