Field Note/Tick dialog

Use the Field Note/Tick dialog to enter a field note, to enter tick marks (or other symbols) on the return, in an input screen, or in a statement dialog. As noted below, some of these options are available only if you are in form view.
To open this dialog, select one of the following options from the Edit menu.
- Field Note: Select this option to attach a note to the current field.
- Tick mark: Select this option to enter tick marks next to items on the return, in an input screen, or in a statement dialog as you review the data. By default, a check mark symbol displays next to the field, but you can select a different symbol to display.
Fields & buttons
Font type drop-down list
Use this drop-down list to select the desired font for the current note.
Font size drop-down list
Use this drop-down list to select the desired font size for the current note.
Note
Select this option to enter a field note and to select the color of the field note. You can attach as many field notes as necessary.

For field notes, choose the color of the musical note that will appear next to the field to which the note is attached. There are many variations of tick marks and field notes.
Tick
Select this option to enter a tick mark (or another symbol) next to the current field. Use the drop-down list next to this option to choose the color of the tick mark. You can create customized tick mark designs in the Setup, User Preferences, then Tickmarks tab. There are many variations of tick marks and field notes.
Title
For field notes, use this field to enter a title for the note. This field defaults to the form or input screen to which the note is being attached.

A custom fieldview is attached to this field, as indicated by the green stripe. You can create a list of titles to choose from. To make an entry in the custom fieldview, enter a title and press CTRL+S. Your entry will be saved in the custom fieldview and will be available for selection from the drop-down list.
Delete button
Select this button to delete the current note, tick mark, or attached text.
