Tax Return History Chart Options dialog (1040)
Show all hidden content
Use this dialog to modify the options for printing Tax Return History charts on the Tax Return History Report.
To open this dialog, choose Setup, 1040 Individual, and then Other Return Options, select the Other tab, and select the Chart Options button.
note
- The Tax Return History Report will not print if there is no data in Screen History in the Review folder.
- The charts are not visible on the Tax Return History Report in Form view. The report must be printed or previewed to see the charts, because they are built dynamically for display purposes.
Fields & Buttons
Chart list
This pane lists the available locations for charts, the figure that is represented in the chart, as well as the type of chart for each location. Select a location and select the Edit button to modify the chart at that location.
Edit button
Select a location from the Chart list pane and select Edit to allow modifications in the Chart Configuration group box.
Enter and cancel buttons
Select Enter to save the changes made in the Chart Configuration group box. Select Cancel to leave the Chart Configuration group box without saving the changes.
Chart configuration group box
Location
Select a location in the Chart list pane and select Edit to populate the Chart Configuration group box. The location cannot be edited.
Figure
The figure that is represented in the chart at that location can be selected from the available figures in the drop-down list. Select Enter to save the changes.
Type of chart
Select bar chart, line chart, or none in the drop-down list. Select Enter to save the changes.
Preview group box
The Preview group box will show a thumbnail representation of the options selected. The location currently selected will be highlighted.
Additional Options group box
Select the desired option for the Tax Return History Projected column from the Complete the Projected column drop-down list. Available options are:
- Always -Always include the projected information in the next year Projected column and charts on the Tax Return History Report.
- If Tax Projection Wrk is printing -Include the projected information only for clients that have the Tax Projection Worksheet printing.
- Never -Never include the projected information.
The default treatment is
Always
. The charts that can be viewed on the Home Page, Client Profiles, and then Return History will not be updated with the desired projected column preference until the client is opened and either previewed or viewed in Forms view.Mark the
Print charts without shading
checkbox to print the chart without the shading that appears under the graph lines.Other fields & buttons
Restore
Select this button to restore the chart options to the original settings, or to select the charts types as all bar charts or all line charts.
