Use the Misc tab to set various application options for this user. These options include displaying the Log Event dialog when the client is closed, improving UltraTax CS performance by allocating extra space on a local hard drive, setting the default font for field notes client notes, and attached text, and others.
To open this tab, choose Setup, User Preferences, then select the Misc tab.

Lists the available options. Mark and clear the checkboxes as desired. The box below provides a description of the currently highlighted option.

- Network Users:Marking theImprove performance using local drivecheckbox opens the Local Drive dialog in which you can choose the local drive on which you want to dedicate space for the network version of UltraTax CS. Note that this option is not available if you are running UltraTax CS in a terminal server environment.
Description of option
Displays a description of the currently highlighted option.

Field note default font
Use the drop-down lists to select the typeface and font size for field notes.
Attached text default font
Use the drop-down lists to select the typeface and font size for attached text.
Client note default font
Use the drop-down lists to select the typeface and font size for client notes.

Use the drop-down lists to select the typeface and font size for diagnostics.
CS Connect communications group box

field displays the connection method that CS Connect uses to communicate with the servers at our secure data centers, as specified in the CS Connect Communications Setup dialog.
