Tickmarks tab

Use the Tickmarks tab to set tick mark preferences, assign descriptions to them, and customize the order in which tick marks display next to a field. Tickmarks can be applied to both input screen and form fields, as well as statements in both input screens and forms view.&
To open this tab, choose Setup, User Preferences, then Tickmarks tab.

Fields & buttons

Tickmark
This field displays the current key assigned to a tick mark. If you create a new tick mark, you can enter any key in this field to assign it to the tick mark. For tick marks that you create, you can edit this key at any time. In addition, you can assign a color to the key; you can change the color at any time.
Description
Use this field to enter a description to default tick marks and tick marks that you create.
Include in diagnostics
Select between
When field data has changed
 and
Always
 to determine when the selected tick mark will show in the Diagnostics list.
Initial tickmark (via first double-select)
You can assign a rotation for tick marks so that you can quickly add them to a field. Use this field to assign the tick mark that first displays when you double-select.
Second double-select action
You can assign a rotation for tick marks so that you can quickly add the tick marks to a field. Use this field to assign the tick mark that displays when you double-select twice.
Third double-select action
You can assign a rotation for tick marks so that you can quickly add them to a field. Use this field to assign the tick mark that displays when you double-select three times.
Fourth double-select action
You can assign a rotation for tick marks so that you can quickly add them to a field. Use this field to assign the tick mark that displays when you double-select four times.
Tickmarks ignore double-selects to enter a field
Mark this checkbox if you want the ability to double-select in a field once without tick marks displaying.
note
If you mark this checkbox, you will need to double-select twice before the initial tick mark displays.
