Use this dialog to select the clients you want to include in the report you chose in the Client Listing Reports dialog.
To open this dialog, select the Continue button in the Client Listing Reports dialog or in the User Event Selection dialog.
Fields & buttons
Clients available to print
All clients who meet the criteria designated in the Focus group box at the bottom of this dialog are listed here. Highlight the clients you want to include in the report, and select the Select button to move the clients to the Clients to print pane on the right.

To sort the list of available clients by client ID, name, or entity type, select the words Client ID, Name, or Entity in the title bar of the list pane.
Clients to print
Lists the clients you have selected to print in the report.
note
Tips
- To remove one or more clients from this list, highlight the clients and select the Remove button. The clients move to the Clients available to print pane on the left.
- To sort the list of available clients by client ID, name, or entity type, select the words Client ID, Name, or Entity in the title bar of the list pane.
Alternate Line Shading
Mark this checkbox to shade every other row on the report.
Preview button
Select this button to preview the report on screen.

This button is available only if you have selected one or more clients to print.
Print button
Select this button to print the report to your default printer.

This button is available only if you have selected one or more clients to print.
Export button
Select this button to open the Save As dialog, which you can use to specify the location where you want to store the report in .XLS or .DIF format.

- The .DIF format is compatible with Microsoft Excel.
- The .XLS format will include statistical charts.
- This button is available only if you have selected one or more clients to print.
To Cabinet button
Select this button to store the selected report in FileCabinet CS.
note
This button is available only if you are licensed for FileCabinet CS and you have selected one or more clients to print.
Focus group box
Entity types
Mark one or more of the entity type checkboxes to include the corresponding clients in the client list.
Example:
To include only 1040 clients in the list, clear all checkboxes except the 1040
checkbox.note
Mark the
Other
checkbox to include 990, 5500, 706, and 709 clients in the list.Restore default focus options button
Select this button to toggle between the most recent custom focus selection and the default selection.
Preparer/reviewer/staff
Select a preparer, reviewer, or staff member from the drop-down list to limit the list to clients whose returns were assigned to a specific person.
Fiscal year end
Select a month to limit the list of available clients to those whose fiscal year ends in a specific month.
Event
This field displays the selected status event by which the client list is focused and the sorting criteria for that event. To limit the client list by a different status event or to change the sorting criteria, select the Modify button to open the Modify Event Focus dialog.
Exclude clients without NetClient CS portal override
Mark this checkbox to limit the list of clients to those whose NetClient CS portal destination has been overridden.
Modify button
Select this button to change the selection in the adjacent field.

UltraTax CS displays these fields only when the
Client ELF Summary
report is selected in the Client Listing Reports dialog. Use these fields to restrict the report only those clients who meet the specified criteria.Products
This defaults to include (All products) in the report for the clients selected, but can be used to focus on Federal only or a specific state.
By status
Defaults to (All). You can select one of the following to include only those clients whose e-file returns have: Not been transmitted, Transmitted (ACK pending), Rejected (not created), Rejected (recreated, not retransmitted), and Accepted, Extension transmitted, return not transmitted.
Returns
Defaults to (All Returns). You can select Tax Returns, Extensions, or estimates to only show out of the selected clients the ones that meet that criteria.
Transmission month
Defaults to (All Months). You can select a specific month in order to only include selected clients whose e-file returns were transmitted during that month.
