Use the Additional Focus dialog to select certain focus items such as preparer/reviewer/staff, fiscal year end, and client events to limit the search to include only those clients who contain the selected items.
To open this dialog, select the Additional Focus button in the Print Selection and Client Search dialog.

Fields & buttons

Preparer/reviewer/staff
To limit the search to include only those clients whose returns are assigned to a particular preparer, reviewer, or staff member, select the appropriate preparer, reviewer, or staff member name from this field. Data Mining defaults to searching for "All."

For this field, Data Mining uses the information you have specified in either the Preparers, Reviewers, or Staff tab in the Office Configuration dialog.
Fiscal year end
To limit the search to include only those clients of a particular fiscal year end, select the desired month. Data Mining defaults to searching for "All Months."

This field cannot be used with the 1040 database.
Event
To limit the search to include only those clients for whom a particular event applies, select the Modify button to open the Modify Event Focus dialog. From here, you can modify the client status criteria used to focus a list of clients. You can choose to focus on one event or on multiple events at one time. If you choose to focus on multiple events, they will be saved in the
Recent filters
drop-down list. Data Mining defaults to searching for "All clients regardless of status."

Events include certain user-defined status events and predefined status events in UltraTax CS. You can define client events in the Setup, Office Configuration, then Status tab. The user-defined status events are listed with three conditions: current status, logged anytime, and not logged.
