Change margins and fonts in client documents

Follow this procedure to change the margins for your transmittal letter, filing instructions, engagement letter, invoices, and slipsheets.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    1040 Individual
    (or other entity) where you want to make changes.
  2. Select the document option button. For
    Invoices
    , when you select the
    Invoice
    button, select the
    Text and Format Options
    option.
  3. Open the document.
  4. Select the contents of the document where you want to change the margins or fonts and then select
    Format
    , then
    Paragraph
    or
    Format
    , then
    Font
    .
  5. Change the left and right indentation options to the desired setting and select
    OK
    .
  6. Close and save the document and select
    OK
    in the
    Product Information
    window.
    note
    Top and bottom margins can't be changed. As an alternative, you can enable the
    Header
    and
    Footer
    options of the document, then open the header and footer and add blank lines to it.
    To enable the header and footer:
    1. Select the document in
      Setup
      ,
      1040 Individual
      , then select the
      Properties
      button.
    2. Select options for both the
      Header
      and the
      Footer
      . You can also include this on the option for
      Subsequent pages
      .
    3. After you make changes, select the
      Header/Footer
      tab within the
      Setup
      , then
      1040 Individual
      (or other entity) screen, open each, and add more lines or insert a logo.
