Exclude items from printing in multiple tax return print collations

Follow this procedure to exclude items from printing in multiple tax return print collations.
  1. In the
    Return Collation
    window, select the
    Government
    tab.
  2. Select all of the items that you want to exclude from printing in
    Government
    and at least 1 other collation. To select multiple items in the list, select the 1st item you want to exclude, then hold down the CTRL key while selecting all other items you want to exclude.
  3. When you've highlighted all the items you want, select the
    Never
    option in the
    Print conditions
    section.
  4. Select the
    Client
    tab. Note that the items you highlighted in the
    Government
    tab are highlighted here as well. To exclude these items from printing in the client collation, select the
    Never
    option in the
    Print conditions
    section.
  5. Select the
    Preparer
    tab. Note that the items you highlighted in the
    Government
    tab are highlighted here as well. To exclude these items from printing in the preparer collation, select the
    Never
    option in the
    Print conditions
    section.
  6. Select
    OK
    .

  • Use these same steps to reorganize the sequence in which the items print. In the
    Government
    tab, select the items you want to move, select the
    Move Up
    or
    Move Down
    button as many times as necessary, select the
    Client
    or
    Preparer
    tab, then select
    Move Up
    or
    Move Down
    button while the items remain highlighted.
  • To return to the application default for print conditions and print order, select the
    Restore Default
    button and select
    CS Default Collation
    .
  • For the open client only, you can further exclude items that you selected to print
    As Required
    (using the
    Return Collation
    window). To do so, select
    File
    , then
    Print Returns
    and select the
    Options
    button to open the
    Print Options
    window. Note that items you remove from the print job by selecting the checkboxes in the
    Print Options
    window are only excluded from a single print job. The next time you print, the job will include all items selected to print in the
    Return Collation
    window.
  • If you used UltraTax CS last year and customized your print collations, you can proforma prior year print collations from the previous version of UltraTax CS.
