Verify the collation file
- Close UltraTax CS and go toX:\WinCSI\UTYYSys\$Office\default\Entity, whereXis the drive letter where the data is stored,YYis the year of the application (for example, "22" for 2022), andEntityis the Federal entity affected (1040, 1120, other).
- Locate thexyssCOLX.datfile, whereXis the entity type (for example, 1040 = 1),Yis the year of the application (for example, 22 = 6), andSSis the Federal, State, or City abbreviation.
- The 1040 Federal file (for example purposes) isI7USCOLX.dat. If this file isn't listed in this location, the return won't appear in the transmittal letter.
