Password for modifying PDFs
When you select
File
, then Print returns
and send the client copy to PDF to file
or Email PDF
with a password, UltraTax CS automatically assigns a random password to prevent editing the PDF. note
You can't remove the PDF password for client organizers.
If you want the option to edit the PDF later using Adobe Acrobat and don't want UltraTax CS to assign a password, follow these steps.
- SelectFile, thenPrint returns.
- Select theClientsbutton to select the clients you want to generate a PDF for. If the client was open in UltraTax CS before you completed Step 1, continue to Step 3.
- SelectClient Copy,Electronic delivery, thenPDF to fileorEmail PDF.
- Verify thePassword protect PDFsoption isn't selected.
- Select all other printing methods you want. If you select additional printing methods, selectPrint.
- SelectAssemble.
