Print different preparer block information
By default, the preparer block information that prints on all returns and extensions is the firm information you gave in your licensing agreement. This information displays in the
Firm
tab accessed via Setup
, then System Configuration
. Note that your security configuration might require you to enter the master password and select OK
before you can open the System Configuration
window.The options for changing the preparer block information depend on what type of return you are preparing and the application set up you have.
- Users who are preparing a PRP (per-return-pricing) return can print the PRP information in the preparer block or print the return with the preparer block left blank.
- Users who are preparing a personal return and therefore don't want the firm information printed in the preparer block can have UltraTax CS print “This tax return prepared by a non-paid preparer” in the preparer block.
- For firms that would like to manually sign their returns, they can remove a preparer's signature from all returns by doing the following:
- Go toSetup,Office Configuration, thenPreparertab.
- Select the preparer and selectEdit.
- Uncheck thePrint Preparer's name in signature block where allowedbox in the Print Options section.
- SelectOK.
