Print the client ID, date, time, and/or page number on client documents

Follow these steps to customize how client document page headers print.
  1. Depending on whether UltraTax CS is set up for office-wide or user-defined print options, do one of the following:
    • Office-wide print options
      : Select
      Setup
      , then
      Office Configuration
      . If required, enter the master password, select
      OK
      , then select the
      Print Options
      tab.
    • User-defined print options
      : Select
      Setup
      ,
      User Preferences
      , then select the
      Print Options
      tab.

      This tab is available only if you're licensed for the network version of UltraTax CS.
  2. In the
    Print Options
    window or tab, mark the checkboxes in the
    Client documents
    section of the
    Print at the top of each page
    group box. The items you select will be printed at the top of all letters, filing instructions, invoices, and (if you're licensed for it) UltraTax/1040 Client Organizer pages.

    By default, the client ID, date, time, and page number are printed in the upper-left corner of the page. You can use the slider in the
    Print Options
    tab to position the printed items in 4 different locations across the top of the page.
  3. Select
    Done
    or
    OK
    .
