Batch state proforma
You can proforma all your clients' state returns at once, saving you time.
By default, the application waits to proforma state returns until you:
- Install the current year's state modules, and
- Open a client.
UltraTax CS will then proforma any attached states from the prior year when you open each client.
If you prefer to proforma all of your clients' state returns in 1 batch, follow these steps:

Ensure that everyone closes all years of the application before starting this process.
- Install the necessary state modules in the current year's program using your installation disk or downloaded file.
- Go to .
This process identifies and proformas any state returns not previously proforma'd. Repeat as needed when new states become available or are installed. This won’t replace existing data.
