Proforma tax return or input screen print collations using the Proforma window

If you used UltraTax CS last year, you can proforma tax return or input screen print collations from one or more of the UltraTax CS applications that you licensed in the previous year. You can proforma print collations from either the
Proforma
window or the
Return Collation
window. Both tasks produce the same results, but using the
Return Collation
window lets you proforma the Government, Client, or Preparer collations individually.
We strongly recommend that you
don’t
proforma or customize form print collations until you install version
2024
.2.0 of the UltraTax CS federal applications, which are released in late December. Because the
2024
.2.0 updates include more final government forms, any form collations that you customize or proforma before the December release can get replaced (causing you to lose those changes) when you install the
2024
.2.0 updates.
Do the following to proforma tax return or input screen print collations using the
Proforma
window.
  1. Select
    Utilities
    , then
    Proforma
    to open the
    Proforma
    window.
  2. Select either
    Return Collations
    or
    Input Screen Collations
    from the dropdown.
  3. In the
    Focus
    section, mark the checkboxes for the applications you want to proforma print collations from.
  4. Verify that the drive and path of last year's application and data are correct. If not, specify the correct location or select the correct prior-year UltraTax CS data location from the dropdown in the
    Data to proforma
    section.
  5. Select the applications you want to proforma collations for in the
    Available to proforma pane, then choose
    Select
    to move those collations to the
    Selected to proforma
    pane.
  6. When all the print collations that you want to proforma appear in the
    Selected to proforma
    pane, select
    Proforma
    . The
    Proforma Status
    window opens to indicate the progress of the proforma process.
  7. After the proforma process is complete, select
    Done
    .
