Troubleshoot installation freezing when installing SecurityPolicy.bat
Issues installing SecurityPolicy.bat are usually from administrator permissions or Microsoft .NET Framework.
When installing a CS Professional Suite application, the installation may stop on
securitypolicy.bat
, and the installation process never completes. Re-running the installation as an administrator resolves the majority of these cases. If re-installing as administrator doesn't resolve it, then an issue with Microsoft .NET Framework is likely preventing the installation from completing.Consult your qualified IT professional when changing any Microsoft components, including Microsoft .NET framework.
Do the following to troubleshoot .NET Framework:
- Open Windows Explorer and go to the filecaspol.exein theC:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319folder.
- Ifcaspol.exedoesn't exist, then .NET Framework 4.0 isn't properly installed. You'll need to re-install it.
- Ifcaspol.exeexists, open the command prompt and enterC:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319then selectEnteron your keyboard.
- Entercaspol.exethen selectEnteron your keyboard.

- Copy thesecuritypolicy.batfile fromX:\WinCSI\UTyy\Desktop\Policyinto theC:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319folder. (yy represents the year of program)
- Go back to the command prompt.
- Entersecuritypolicy caspol.exethen selectEnteron your keyboard.noteMake sure you're still in theC:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319directory when running this command.
