Install an emailed license disk
If you've had issues with downloading and installing licenses through CS Connect for UltraTax CS, Planner CS, Fixed Assets CS and/or FileCabinet CS and you were emailed a license disk from Support, follow these steps to install your licenses.
- Save theSetup.CSattachment from your email to your Desktop.
- Right-click on the file and selectRename.
- Rename the file from Setup.CS toSetup.exe. (The icon should change from a windows file to an open box).If you receive a permissions message, right-click on the file and selectProperties. Then selectUnblockandOK.
- Double-click the Setup.exe file and selectNext.
- SelectBrowse, then theWinCSI\Tools\UTLICYYfolder, where YY is the version of the program. For other years, you should have a UTLICYY for that specific year.
- SelectNext.
- The files will extract to that location and the UltraTax CS Product Group License Setup Wizard will start. SelectNext.If the UltraTax CS Product Group Licenses Setup Wizard doesn't start, go toStep 11.
- Verify that the destination path is pointing to the correct location. If not, selectBrowseand correct the destination path toX:\WinCSI, where X is the driver letter where the program is installed.
- SelectNext.
- SelectFinish. Open the program. If the License Setup Wizard doesn't start, continue with the following steps.
- Open theX:\WinCSI\Tools\UTLICYY\Licensesfolder, where X is the driver letter where the program is installed.
- Use Ctrl + A to select all.
- Use Ctrl + C to copy.
- OpenX:\WinCSI\LICENSES, where X is the driver letter where the program is installed.For UltraTax 2014 and later, open the UTYY folder within X:\WinCSI\LICENSES\ (where YY represents the year of the application).
- Use Ctrl + V to paste. If prompted to overwrite, selectYes to All.
- Open the program. The licenses should now be there.
