Set up notifications for File Exchange and Document Presentation uploads

  1. On the
    Admin
    tab of the
    Navigation
    pane, select
    Notification
    from the Utilities section.
  2. Choose
    File Exchange
    or
    Document Presentation
    from the Notification list.
  3. Select
    NetStaff CS
    under
    Display Users
    .
  4. Choose 1 of the following to notify people when someone uploads a file that they can access.
    • Choose
      All Users
      to notify all people using NetStaff CS.
    • Choose
      Selected
      under Notifications, then mark the checkbox for each person you want to notify.

    • If a person has turned off their notifications in a portal, you can turn them back on. Choose
      Selected
      under Notifications, clear the checkbox for the person, then select
      Enter
      . Select
      Unselected
      , mark their checkbox, then select
      Enter
      .
    • If you chose
      All Users
      , you don't need to return to mark checkboxes for new people.
    • Use
      Find
      and the
      Unselected
      and
      Selected
      filters to find people.
  5. If you don't want to notify people who use NetStaff CS, mark the
    Send notification for NetClient CS user uploads only
    checkbox.
  6. Select
    NetClient CS
    under Display Users.
  7. Mark the checkbox for each person you want to notify, then select
    Enter
    .
Either all people or those you've chosen will get notified when someone uploads a file to they can access.

  • You can change the template for this notification message.
  • People who use NetStaff CS can specify which File Exchange folders they want notifications for.
